These Terms and Conditions (“Sage Terms”) are applicable to the Sage Homeschool Teachers program and the customers who have subscribed to Sage teaching services (as defined below) (hereinafter “Customers”/ “you”/ “your”).

At Sage Homeschool Teachers our mission is to provide qualified virtual homeschool teachers to students from grades K-8, following the chosen online homeschool curriculum of the customers’ choice. Each enrolled student in Sage will be provided with one-on-one classes – four 40-minute lessons to cover different subjects and 10-minute breaks between each session.

For the purposes of the Sage Terms, (a) ‘Sage Product’ shall mean Sage online teaching of classes by a Sage instructor and (b) ‘Subject’ shall mean any school subject provided under the curriculum chosen by Customers on the “Enrollment Form” when subscribing to the Sage Product and making the payment thereof.

These Sage Terms shall govern your relationship with us, (available at www.sagehomeschoolteachers.com) applicable for – (a) your use of our website  www.sagehomeschoolteachers.com (“Website”), our applications (“Application”) or any products or services in connection with the Application/ Website/products (“Services”); or (b) any modes of registrations or usage of products, including through SD cards, tablets or other storage/transmitting device (hereinafter “Terms of Use”).

If you do not agree with the Sage Terms (as defined below), please do not use the Application or Website or the Services or Sage or products. Any access to our Services/Application/Sage Products/other products through registrations/subscription is non-transferable.

1. Scheduling classes

a. Customers will be able to schedule the Sage Product by phone or emailing or submitting the Enrollment Form (all information and services listed above on the Website). Based on the availability of a suitable teacher for the Subject chosen by you, a teacher (hereinafter “Teacher”) will be assigned for teaching the student, as per the time slot and Subject chosen by the Customer. On confirmation of the Teacher and the time slot, by Sage staff, a communication regarding the details (name, contact number, timing, Subject etc.) will be shared with you.

b. In case of change in your time slot, you will be solely responsible to inform us regarding the said change by reaching out to our staff by phone or email (listed on Website)

  • i. If the assigned Teacher is available for the new time slot, then the same Teacher will continue to teach the student.
  • ii. However, in case of non-availability of the previously assigned Teacher at the new time slot we will allot another Sage Teacher to the Student, after seeking approval from you.

2. Number of Students per Teacher Slot

You hereby understand that in a Teaching Slot only the student who has been named in the Enrolment Form will be able to benefit the relevant Sage Product and Sage Services.

3. SAGE Components and Teaching Methods

A laptop (or any other similar electronic device) will be used by the Teacher to study Subject material and other educational content for teaching. During the class, any Subject related queries will also be answered by the Teacher and the Student will be guided by the Teacher for completion of the Subject. Any activities, assignment, or homework given to the Student through the Subject, will be done by the student under the supervision of the Teacher. Progress reports, test results and review shall be shared with the Teacher.

4. Rescheduling the Teaching Slot

The Sage Product will be conducted during the same Teaching Slot for the Student as per the Enrolment Form validated by Sage staff. The relevant Sage Product and Sage Services will be carried out throughout the validity of the subscription by you to Sage.

You will be able to reschedule for Sage Product and Sage Services, by contacting us on by with the phone number or email (as on the Website), as per the following terms –

a. For Subscription to Sage Product and Sage Services:

  • i. By Customer: You will be required to raise a request for rescheduling the Sage Product and Sage Services at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled timing of the Teaching Slot. Such rescheduling will be allowed only four times in a month for a single Sage Subscription.

    We will reschedule the Teaching Slot based on the availability of the Teacher at that point in time. On successful rescheduling of the Teaching Slot, a confirmation will be sent to you by Sage staff. Failure to raise a request for rescheduling Sage Product and Sage Services 48 hours prior to the Teaching Slot OR failure to complete the Sage Product and Sage Services after rescheduling the Teaching Slot four times in a given month, may lead to cancellation of Sage Product and Sage Services, for which no Sage Product and Sage Services or a refund thereof, shall be provided to you. For any change required to the preferred Teaching Slot for Sage Product and Sage Services, you can reach out to our staff.

    We will adjust time slots for you, based on the availability of the Teacher. A confirmation on successful change to the Sage Product and Sage Services will be sent to you by Sage staff. In case of non-availability of the assigned Teacher for such a change Sage will allot another Teacher to the Student, after seeking approval from you.
  • ii. By Teacher: Additionally, the Teacher may also reschedule the Sage Product and Sage Services, in which case, we will make our best effort to inform you within 48 hours prior to the Time Slot and the Sage Product and Sage Services will be scheduled for the next available Teaching Slot.

    On successful rescheduling of the Teaching Slot, a confirmation will be sent to you. In such a case the option available to you for rescheduling the Sage Product and Sage Services four times in a month shall not be exhausted, if it has not been used by you already.

5. Replacement of Teacher

a. For Sage Product and Sage Services: In case you want a replacement of the Teacher assigned for Sage Product and Sage Services, you can reach out to us by phone or email (as on the Website). The replacement of a Teacher for Sage Product and Sage Services will be available to you only in the following circumstances –

  • i. For Inappropriate Behavior: You can raise a request for replacement of the Teacher for any inappropriate behavior of the Teacher faced by the student or you.
  • ii. Issues Relating to Reliability of the Teacher: In case the Teacher has been late by more than 10 minutes, at least four times in a month, you can raise a request for replacement of the Teacher.
  • iii. Poor Quality of Teaching by the Teacher: You can raise a request for replacement of the Teacher for unsatisfactory teaching style or methodologies within a period of seven days from the date of assignment of a Teacher to the Student. Such replacement option if past the seven-day mark shall be considered on a “first come first serve” basis.

In all the above-mentioned cases, we will consider your request on priority and allow for replacement of the Teacher based our internal review of your request, a communication either confirming or rejecting such request will be sent to you by Sage staff. In case of confirmation of change in Teacher, the details of new Teacher shall be shared with you.

6. Your Obligations

For subscribing to Sage Product and Sage Services, you are required to adhere to the following obligations –

  • a. You shall always ensure that Sage Product and Sage Services are conducted with a trusted adult on the premises.
  • b. You shall never request or assign Sage Teachers to provide personal teaching separately to the Sage Product and Sage Services. It is duly understood by you that any teaching by a Sage Teacher shall be conducted only under the approved Sage Product and Sage Services and following the Subject. Any breach of this obligation may cause the cancelation of your subscription to Sage at any time, without providing any refunds thereof.
  • c. The location of the student should have good reception of a cellular network.
  • d. You shall always interact with the Teacher in a polite and professional manner. For any failure on your part to adhere to this obligation, we may cancel your subscription to the Sage Product and Sage Services at any time, without providing any refunds thereof and may also take appropriate legal action thereof.
  • e. You shall not generate, declare, condone, or spread any misrepresentation, false complaint, defamation, or lies about Sage Homeschool Teachers LLC. In case of non-compliance to this obligation, we may cancel your subscription of Sage Product and Sage Services at any time, without providing any refunds thereof.
  • f. You shall cooperate with the Teacher to the best of your ability.
  • g. You shall ensure that any requests for rescheduling of classes shall be raised in a timely manner.
  • h. You will not discriminate against any Teacher based on race, religion, status, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, gender identity, age or any other metric which is deemed to be unlawful under applicable laws. Any credible proof of such discrimination, including any refusal of services based on the above metrics, whether alone or in conjunction with any other metric, whether lawful or unlawful, shall render you responsible for losing access to the Sage Product and Sage Services immediately without any refund(s). You will not have any claim towards, and we will not have any liability towards any termination which is undertaken as a result of the aforementioned event.

7. Communication to You

Any communication with Sage by our staff or Teachers will be sent to you with your preferred mode of communication, based on your information on the Enrollment Form (as on Website) or as specifically requested by you for the intention of a mode of communication regarding Sage Product and Sage Services.

8. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

You can reach out to Sage by phone or email (as on Website) to raise any issues pertaining to refund(s), Teacher replacement, rescheduling of Sage Product and Sage Services, any complaints against the Teacher, technical issues, Application etc. Our customer support team will generate a ticket for such issues raised by you and our concerned team will try to resolve such issues within 48 hours from the time of raising the ticket for the respective issue.

9. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify/amend/replace these Sage Terms at any time, as deemed fit by us, without any prior notice to you.

10. Availability of Sage Staff

Staff: Our phone number (as on the Website) shall be available as per the following schedule – The Sage email(s) (as on the Website) will be available at all times with a response within 24 to 48 hours.
a. On Weekdays (Monday to Friday): 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

These Sage Terms constitute an electronic record in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediaries guidelines) Rules, 2011 thereunder, as amended from time to time.

Please read the Sage Terms with respect to registration, carefully before using the Application, Website, or Services. In the event of any discrepancy between the Sage Terms, and any other policies with respect to the Application or Website or Services or Sage or products, the provisions of the Sage Terms shall prevail.

Sage provides the application, website, services, products etc. on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranty of any kind, whether written or oral. Sage expressly disclaims all warranties and conditions, either express or implied, with respect to the application, website, services, products etc., including all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, noninfringement, title, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose, or arising out of the usage. Sage specifically disclaims any warranty that the application, website, services, products, etc. and the functions contained therein will meet customer’s requirements or that any information obtained through the use of services will be accurate, that the use of application, website, services, products etc. will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free from error, or that all the defects will be corrected.

Sage Homeschool Teachers LLC preserves our customers right to privacy regarding any and all of their personal information. Sage never shares data or information collected with any third parties. We are committed to protecting student and teacher privacy. We safeguard all information about our students and honor privacy laws.

You hereby represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student and are above 18 years of age. Your use/access/browsing of the Application or Website or the Services or Sage or products or registration (with or without payment/with or without subscription) through any means shall signify your acceptance of the Sage Terms and your agreement to be legally bound by the same.
